Advisors.

Advisors are the 2nd leaders of the forums.
I'm currently coding the rank so they can acces the admin panel but with limited acces.
So they will be able to ban members / promote members etc.

I don't think thats possible =\ If you want to do that why not just set allow mods to bann members and change mods to co leaders etc...

It sounds like "Advisor" should have less power than a Moderator. Maybe that's just me.

Maybe you guys are right but hey, mods are here to control the forums by deleting messages, locking topic... Not to ban people atleast that's my opinion..


As we all know Unleashed and others are known all over the place and have been here with me and Vanhiz (for example) in GOD, UPH, EHW, LL and even ESP and others..

I do think these people deserve to get the Advisore rank as 2nd leader because remember it is GENERAL NATION, the name speaks for itself

In my opinion this is how i see it if there mod or admin there considered trustworthy and have the option to do it. Most of the time mods are limited to that thing what good is being mod if you can't ban? They can only ban to 7 days anyways. Admins have the option to extend as well as edit the site (which mods can't do)

Okay in that point you are right, but as I said the people that are chosen here are trusted.

And my opinion about the fact that Mods having limited option isn't that bad after all I think.. As I mentioned above, why should the Mod have the kind of power that's the same as the Admin?

The Mods are here to help in the forums and there should be a difference in the ranks isn't it? The Admins are still the people that make the decisions on the site, but hey who am I to say that it's just my opinion (again)

Ill say it again mods can only ban for 7 days while admins can extend and edit the site limiting mods to not have that controll.

Also if i say anything wrong or if its short its becasue i got a major headache -_-

In my experience moderators had just as much power as administrators in terms of banning members and locking threads, the only difference being that moderators were sometimes limited to one sub-forum or section. I saw moderators as people who would just fill in for administrators when they were offline. The difference in power would be the ability to alter the forum and access to the administrator panel.

But to be honest, I wouldn't even recommend that system here. There aren't enough sub-forums that get activity to justify it. In fact, you're over-staffed as it is. Half of the staff seems redundant with the current low activity.
